Get to know SJO Volleyball player Helene Jones

What do you think makes the team so successful?

Everyone on the team is so close outside of volleyball, so having that connection with everyone already has helped us a lot on the court.

What is your favorite thing about volleyball and the team?

My favorite thing about the team is how close we are. We are all great friends and have so much fun on and off the court. The memories we make on and off the court are so special.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Every game no matter if it is home or away Mikyla always does my hair. We do the same hair style and we use different colors!

What has been the most important thing Coach McDonald has taught you?

The most important thing Coach has taught me is that everything happens for a reason. We have had many ups and downs and injuries, but each one of those has made us stronger and closer as a team.

What is the most challenging part about playing volleyball at SJO?

The most challenging part about play SJO volleyball is the fact that every team we play is competitive. We have to give 100% every game.
