10 things you don’t know about me… Jason Retz

In honor of SJO Cross Country going to state this week we asked head coach Jason Retz to tell us 10 things we didn’t know about him.

My favorite childhood memory is road tripping with my friend across the midwest.

I always carry sunglasses with me.

The best advice I have ever been given is ‘We need someone to step up’ by Coach Jim Acklin.

My first pet was named Haley.

My happiest adult memory has been watching my son grow up.

I enjoy cross country because the work you put in is the work you get out.

The best thing about being a coach is watching kids do things they never thought possible.

A book I read that stayed with me is “Peak Performance.  (Stress + Rest = Growth)”

My favorite class in high school is Chemistry.

My favorite TV show is SportCenter.
