St. Joseph VIllage Board, Feb. 8

I am way late to Village Board but I am here.

They are discussing snow plowing and how people got cars off the road. Luke saying there needs to be some enforcement. Saying it helps them a lot with snow removal.

The VIllage Clerk as caught me up. They voted yes on purchasing a license plate reader in cooperation with the Champaign County Sheriffs Department.

Back to snow routes: Snow routes are

Grand from third to the village limits
Lincoln from second to third
Main Street from Warren to Sherman

If there is two or more inches of snow no parking will be allowed on either side of the street.
Vehicles parking on snow routes will be towed

They will give notice by hanging notices on the main doors of all the buildings on the snow routes and place notices on the car windshields.

Luke is really adamant that residents need to move their cars when it snows so they can plow for EMS and Fire to have access. He said residents can even put it in their yards. “Just get it off the street.”

Staff will be cleaning and reorganizing the back storage room over the next two days. It’s where thy keep all the meeting minutes and historical documents. Its super cool honestly.

Feb. 16 they will have a work session with Clark Dietz to discuss rebuild Illinois money to earmark the money for projects.

Luke is thanking the public works staff for their hard work and dedication. Some of the staff made arrangements to be in town despite not living in town. #DEDICATION.

meeting done.
