Live at St. Joseph Village Board, Jan. 24, 2023

I am here live so you don’t have to be.

Jim Wagner just said it will be a short meeting so obviously we will be here until 10 p.m. #hejinxedus #youneversaythat
On the agenda: public works storage, budget convos and self storage in a commercial district.

Discussing what meeting minutes can stay closed and open.

No public comment.

Discussing the new public works building. It’s for storage. They need it because they will lose storage at the sewer plant due to EPA mandated requirements. Art saying he would like to rent a space before doing something permanent. He wants an inventory of equipment.

They are discussing putting it out at the sports complex near the highway.

Discussing the size now. The drawing looks pretty big but it would hold everything.

They will be discussing this in the future.

Discussing storage units near Monicals that someone wants to put in.

Budget convo time. Recommending they set the max wage adjustment at three percent.

12 percent of the customer base is signed up for paperless billing for sewer. That’s more than a $1,000 in savings.

They are in executive session for something concerning employees. I am assuming pay. #Jimwasright. #supershortmeeting.
