Village asking residents to vote on logo

It is down to four.

The Village of St. Joseph is looking for a new logo and wants village residents to have a voice.

Village administrator Joe Hackney said the four logos are based off ideas from village employees and trustees. The logo would be used on letterheads, vehicles and help to brand the village.

Village employees helped narrow down the choices from 19 that were submitted.

Some trustees were unhappy that the water tower and the elevator downtown featured so heavily in the logo proposals but the village staff disagreed.

Assistant village works superintendent Luke Fisher said the employees liked the logos they selected because they felt they represented St. Joseph.

“We are still a farming community,” he said. “The elevator has beautiful aspects to it when the sunrise hits it. The best thing I can see when I pull into this town is the water tower and the elevator. You see it, you are home.”

Residents can vote for the logos here.
