10 things you don’t know about me… Carrie Mattsey

Every week we ask an area resident to tell us 10 interesting facts about themselves. This week we spoke to Carrie Mattsey of Carrie Mattsey Photography.

My family has lived in St. Joe for 18 years. We have raised our two boys here.

I have been marrie for 23 years and if anything ridiculous can happen, it has happened to us!!

I have been a Kindergarten teacher for 25 years!

I’ve been doing photography for two years, and have been creating memories for others for about a year.

I have a gallery of photos currently on display at the Kennekuk Education Center. It showcases some of the nature and landscape photography I have done.

I am a camping and nature enthusiast. I relax by spending time at our permanent campsite and being outdoors.

I enjoy traveling and taking photos of places around the country. We have taken our camper on roadtrips from Yellowstone to Upstate New York to Virginia.

I have two dogs named Minnie and Jake. They take turns being my camping buddies.

I love to read. Historical fiction is my favorite and I enjoy a good classic. When I have free time I enjoy participating in book club.

I absolutely LOVE to take senior pictures and family photos! I enjoy getting to know so many new people and creating lasting memories for them.
