10 things you don’t know about me… Yasmin Rietmann

Yasmin Rietmann helps customers at St. Joseph Automotive in addition to raising her three kids and much more.

This post is sponsored by the St. Joseph Dairy Queen.

1. I have 3 super cute kiddos ages 9, 7, and 4 who my husband and I homeschool.

2. My Dad is from Pakistan, and my Mom’s side is German and has lived in this area for generations. It has been pretty fun growing up in both cultures.

3. I grew up both in Atlanta, GA and here in St. Joe going back and forth every month. I got the best of both worlds; big city and small town living.

4. My husband and I were in full-time ministry for 8+ years before moving back to Illinois.

5. My favorite pass-time hands down is reading. I’m usually in the middle of about five or so books at one time.

6. One of my favorite seasons is winter…but only if we get lots of good snow. I love snow so so much.

7. My favorite place in the world to be has always been my Grandpa’s house. It has always been a safe place for me, and I’ve had so many beautiful sacred moments through my life sitting outside in the country, looking across the cornfields, and feeling God’s breath on my face. I think it will always be my favorite place to be.

8. Thunderstorms are my happy place. Especially when the thunder is so big it shakes the house

9. One of my favorite vacation spots is the Smoky Mountains. We have gone since I was little, and it is always so beautiful, and always an adventure.

10. I’m pretty bad at picking favorites sometimes. But I think one of my favorite movies is Sense and Sensibility. Closely followed by Sister Act 2.
