Weekend family fun guide for March 15-17

This weekend is jam packed with fun things to do with the family.

March 15

The Savoy 16, located at 232 W Burwash Ave. in Savoy, is showing the movie Smallfoot at 10 a.m. The movie is free for rewards members. The movie is $1 for everyone else.

Heritage Performing Arts is presenting “The Music Man.” The show starts at 7 p.m at Heritage High School in Broadlands, 206 E Diller St.

The Homer Library is showing a free family movie, “Ralph Breaks the Internet” at 7 p.m.

The Collingsworth Family, voted as America’s favorite mixed group in Christian music for the last seven years, and Kim Collingsworth, voted Favorite Musician for the last 7 years, will be performing in concert on Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m., Grace Church, 800 W. Oak St., Mahomet, IL. Doors will open at 5:30. A hymn sing will begin at 6:25. A free meet and greet for students will be held at 6:30 p.m. The family has also been nominated for multiple Grammy and Dove Awards. Advance ticket prices are $25 for Gold VIP seating, $20 for Silver seating, and $15 for Adult Red, $5 for Student (10-16) Red, and Children (0-9) FREE in Red section. IF tickets are still available at the door, all tickets will increase by $5. Their last visit in 2017 was a sold-out event. Please call Les at (217)841-3132 to order your tickets. Tickets may also be purchased via https://www.itickets.com/events/398436 , using a credit card for an additional convenience fee. Tickets are going fast. Don’t delay!

March 16

Baseball season is back at Illinois Field! The Illini are hosting Southern Illinois University with a double header on Saturday starting at noon. and a 1 p.m. game on Sunday. Schedule posters, cards and exclusive schedule key chains which will be available for the first 1,000 fans of the weekend!
Admission is free at the field located at 601 E W. Kirby Ave. in Champaign

The Gifford Fire Protection District is hosting a pancake and sausage breakfast fundraiser at 7 a.m. at the German Fall Festival Building located at 101 S. Main Street in Gifford.
