Closings and Cancellations for Jan. 29-31

Tuesday schedule changes
Girls JV basketball vs. Mattoon at SJO will start at 4:30 p.m.
Varsity will start at 6 p.m.

Boys JV basketball at Monticello will start at 4:30 p.m.
Varsity will start at 6 p.m.

Schuren Nursery and Garden Center will be closed all week and will reopen on Feb. 5

Homer Vintage Bakery is closed.

CRIS Healthy Aging Center is canceling Meals on Wheels for Tuesday, 1/29. CRIS Breakfast Cafe and Hoopeston site also closed. There will be limited Bus Service; No bus service in rural areas ; Service will be running in Danville only for DMT Para transit and Medicaid clients.

The 8th grade boys basketball regional game between St. Joseph and Unity will take place at 5 p.m. at St. Joseph Middle School. The title game will now take place on Feb. 4 at 6 p.m.

The Euchre Club at the St. Joseph Fire station is canceled.

All classes at Gallo Dance Studio are cancelled.


Heritage Jr. High Volleyball vs. PVO will start at 4:30 p.m. in Homer.


Wednesday
Due to forecasted temperatures the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office has decided to close the Champaign County Courthouse on Wednesday, Jan. 30. All court dates will be rescheduled, and filings submitted on Wednesday will be file stamped for the following day.

The Champaign County Sheriff’s Office and the Brookens Center will also be closed.

Appl sanitary will not be picking up recycling this week due to the cold weather. At this time they are planning on running their regular Wednesday route but they will be starting later in the day due to the landfill being closed.

Schuren Nursery and Garden Center will be closed all week and will reopen on Feb. 5

SJO, PVO and St. Joseph Grade School have no school Wednesday.

Heritage Schools are closed and all activities are canceled.

All Champaign County Head Start locations will be closed.

Family Service of Champaign County, along with their Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) will be closed. Meals on Wheels will not be delivered. The Helen Mary Stevick Senior Center will also be closed.

All Vermilion County Government Buildings will be closed.

The U of I, Parkland, EIU and ISU have canceled classes.

Living Word Family Church Night Service.

St. Joseph Township-Swearingen Memorial Library will be closed.

The Wheelhouse will be closed.

All classes at Gallo Dance Studio are cancelled.

SJO Freshman Boys Basketball vs. PBL is cancelled.
SJO JV and Varsity Boys Basketball vs. Olympia has been rescheduled for Feb. 6 at SJO. JV will tip-off at 5:30 p.m.

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church office will be closed. Youth activities are canceled.

Belly Deli in Homer will be closed Wednesday.

SJO Youth volleyball registration rescheduled to Feb. 2 at SJO from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and Feb. 5 at SJO from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The CRIS Healthy-Aging Center will be closed Jan. 30 The CRIS Breakfast Café will and the Senior Center is canceled. All CRIS Healthy-Aging staff should report to from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

CRIS Rural Mass Transit District is canceling general transit service to rural areas of Vermilion County for Jan. 30. Service will continue for Champaign and Vermilion County Medicaid and MCO riders and DMT paratransit riders.


Thursday
Schuren Nursery and Garden Center will be closed all week and will reopen on Feb. 5


Belly Deli in Homer will be closed Thursda.

SJO, PVO and St. Joseph Grade School have a two hour delayed start.
