10 things you don’t know about me… Alisyn Franzen

We asked St. Joseph Middle School Principal Alisyn Franzen to tell us 10 interesting things about herself. Here are her answers.

  1. What is your favorite food? Pizza
  2. What is your favorite thing about teaching? The day-to-day interaction with the students. The best part of that is when they realize their potential or have those “aha” moments.
  3. What is your favorite childhood memory? Nothing specific really. Just spending time with family is what pops into my mind. Family is very important to me.
  4. What is your favorite place to travel to? Florida
  5. What is something you always carry with you? My phone
  6. What is your favorite book you have read? I can’t pick just one! I was an English teacher. 🙂
  7. What is the best advice you have received? Always try to see things from someone else’s perspective. Even if you feel as you originally did, you will understand different ideas or situations better.
  8. What TV show can you watch over and over? Friends or The Office
  9. What traditions do you have to start a school year? I always try to get things squared away for the entire first week or two. It’s always a transition going back, and I like to be organized and at least a week ahead.
  10. Are you superstitious? No
