Q and A with SJO Hall of Fame inductee Bobbi Busboom

1. How does it feel to be inducted into the hall of fame?

To be honest, I thought it was silly at first…and teased my family that it is because of my athletic abilities (it is clearly not).   All kidding aside, I just feel like my dad would be so proud right now.  He was my biggest fan and was the person I called when I needed to “talk things out.”  No one bragged about me more than him.  I feel very honored to even be considered.

2. What is your favorite memory from SJO? Definitely riding to school every day with my dad until I had my driver’s license.  And of course, football season!  There was nothing better than Friday Night Lights.  I was lucky enough to be around for two state championships in football (1997, 1999) during high school.

3. What is one thing you learned at SJO that you have taken with you into your professional world?Work ethic.  Nothing comes easy, and if you want something you really have to work for it.
