Kelso add commercial space for rent

Josh Kelso wants to help expand commercial space in St. Joseph.

The owner of Kelso Heating and Cooling knows how important a store front location is.

He saw his business expand beyond his expectations when he moved to a storefront location in 2016 after running his business out of his home for 14 years.

“We had the space to expand,” Kelso said. “It’s a good location.”

Kelso said that once Neubauer’s Barbershop and Shave Parlor moved part of their building in 2024, they were inspired to add more space.

“He’s a nice guy and it has worked out well,” Kelso said.

Now, Kelso has commercial space available for rent next to his heating and cooling business, at 208 1st Street in St. Joseph.

The space is unfinished on the inside so if a business owner contacted him soon it could be configured to their liking.

The location is off of Rt. 150, a fact that Kelso said has helped expand his own business.

“It’s a great location,” Kelso said. “We are very visible. It has helped us grow that is for sure.”

Kelso said some people have asked if the business is expanding but the new space isn’t actually connected to Kelso’s business.

He said he didn’t have any preconceived notions about what could go in the space.

He said it would be large enough for a small hardware store but could also work for a nail salon.

“We would be OK with anything as long as it was something morally sound,” Kelso said. “We are open to whatever.”

Anyone interested in seeing the space should email thekelsoproperties@gmail.com.
