4 Questions with Creations by De

Tell us about your business.
Creations by De is a licensed home-based business. I do custom cakes, cookies and a variety of other treats. I also offer a selection of gluten-free and no-added sugar options as well as treats for your fur baby’s special day. Everything is made to order.

What inspired you to start your business?
My love of baking started at a young age. My grandma would prop me up on a chair beside her while she made homemade cinnamon rolls, noodles, and all types of yummy-ness. Before she passed she gifted me her rolling pin (that her mother gave her when she married my grandpa) and several old recipes that were passed down generations. I always tease that all the magic comes from her rolling pin.

What do you like about festivals?
I like doing the festival because it lets me interact with some wonderful people. I love to see the enjoyment that my treats give people.

What is your favorite fair food?
I would have to say that elephant ears were what fairs were all about when I was younger. Lol
