Getting to know SJO Senior Marching Band Member Collin Livesay

My favorite thing about marching band is being given the opportunity to create new friendships with people who I share a passion with.

There are countless memories I’ve made from being in the band but my favorites are meeting the new freshman every year at band camp and circle of memories celebration at the end of the year.

Other than 7 Nation Army at football games, my favorite show piece was the woodwind feature in Decomposers

Probably our Captive costume because it kind of looked like Shrek mixed with Robin Hood

A big misconception is that band doesn’t take much work. Marching band is a full dedication of time from the 7:15-8:50 am practice every school day to the two weeks of band camp during the summer.
