PTC brings back Trunk or Treat

It is going to be a very Happy Halloween.

At the first Parent Teacher Committee meeting of the year, the group voted to bring back its popular Trunk or Treat event, said PTC President Katie May.

The event will be held on Friday, Oct. 28 from 6-8 p.m. at the St. Joseph Middle School Parking Lot.

“Unfortunately the last two years we have had to cancel the event due to COVID,” May said. “With the decrease in COVID restrictions, we have decided we can hold the event again this year.”

May said this is one of the PTC’s most popular events.

“This is a time our students can be with their friends and have fun at a family-friendly event,” she said. “This event is open to the public so we always get a great turnout which is awesome.”

Community members are encouraged to come and decorate their cars and hand out candy the night of the event.

Closer to the event, the PTC will be posting a sign-up genius asking for those who will be coming with a decorated car to sign up before the event so they know how many cars to anticipate coming.

The sign-up link will be posted on the PTC Facebook page and also will be emailed out to all grade school and middle school parents closer to the event date.

The PTC will also be collecting extra candy at the grade school and middle schools for the event.

“If you wish to donate candy for the event please reach out to the St.Joseph PTC on Facebook,” May said.
