10 things you don’t know about me… Tammy Vallee

My husband Troy and I will have been married 20 years this October and have three daughters – Jordyn, Macy and Payton.

I grew up near Penfield and graduated from Armstrong Township High School.

I love hosting or bringing meals to groups of kids for team dinners or any other gathering.

I enjoyed jigsaw puzzles even before it became cool during this quarantine!

I love doing ancestry research.  I can have a totally geeked out conversation with anyone who wants to discuss anything related to where their 3rd great grandparent was born.

As a former teen mom, I have a special affection for all young moms and have spent some time volunteering with a teen mom group in Champaign.

I am obsessed with always finding the best deal. I can’t purchase anything until I know I have every coupon, promocode and cash back offer available.

My kids and their activities have always been my #1 hobby. I have been a PTO president, Girl Scout Leader, Sunday school superintendent, worked on softball/baseball boards, ordered a million team shirts, cooked meals for FFA banquets, coordinated the SJO Cash Bash and am an active SJO Fan Club member and pretty much love being involved in anything they have been involved in.

My husband and I went on a cruise for our honeymoon, but because I was only 20 when we got married he had to register as my guardian for our reservations because I wasn’t old enough to cruise alone.

Contrary to what anyone tells you, I have never referred to myself as the Princess of St Joe.
