SJO students named Illinois State Scholars

St. Joseph-Ogden High School has released the list of students who were named Illinois State Scholars by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission, which works to make college accessible and affordable for Illinois students.

The SJO state scholars are:
Aden, Lindsey
Ames, Mallory
Berry, Katelyn
Bigger, Emily
Bytnar, Ginny
Cunningham, Andrea
Dahman, Faith
Dukeman, Hannah
Guelfi, Erica
Mills, Ava
Poe, Eric
Rajlich, Hannah
Schaefer, Jenna
Taylor, Kenly
Trame, Stephanie
Vliet, Isabelle
Witruk, Zoey

The State Scholar Program recognizes students attending approved high schools for outstanding academic achievement.

To be eligible, students must be a US Citizen or eligible non-citizen, resident of Illinois, attend an approved high school and take the ACT or SAT between August 1 and June 30.

Students must also perform in the top one-half of their high school class at the end of the third semester prior to graduation, and/or score at or above the 95th percentile on the ACT or SAT.

Students must also graduate from high school during the academic year in which they were selected as a State Scholar.
