SJO Alumni Association Banquet to be held June 8

If you haven’t already marked your calendar, please save Saturday, June 8, 2019, for the Annual SJO Alumni Association Banquet.

It will be held at the Community Building in Royal with cocktails at 5:00 PM and dinner at 6:00 PM. Again, this year the cost is only $20.00 a plate.

This year’s Honor Class is the Class of 1969. Appropriately, the theme will be “Summer of Love.”

So, find your tie-dyed T-shirts, your bell bottoms and sandals, your love beads, and don’t forget to paint a flower on your cheek!!

Also, the Class of 1959 will be saluted!!

If you have any questions you can contact Eric Buzzard at 469-2373 or visit our website. www.sjoalumni.org

A testimony from an SJO Alumnus…
I first attended the Alumni Association Banquet in 1968, three weeks after our class graduated. My parents were on the planning committee, and they let me know that since I was now an alumnus, my presence was required at the Banquet!!

It was held in the big gym in the Ogden building. The entire gym was full of decorated tables. The honor classes that year were 1943 and 1918. I thought to myself, “How in the world could anyone 68+ years old be able to walk, talk, or even breathe at their class reunion!!” To me they were all walking fossils!!

Last year was our 50th Class Reunion!! Surprisingly we all were walking, talking, and breathing quite well….Thank you!!

Come in June with your favorite story of high school, a reunion, or some sporting event….it will be a lot of fun!! Don’t forget the theme: Summer of Love!! We will have a GROOVY TIME: out of sight, out of mind, in the groove, Baby!!

If you have any questions you can contact Eric Buzzard 469-2373 or visit our website. www.sjoalumni.org The website has an invitation you can print out and mail in.
