Village reminds residents to pick up after their animals

Poop is a problem in St. Joseph—dog poop that is.

Village of St. Joseph Office Manager Julie Hendrickson said that the village has had several complaints of people using the Woodard Family Park and Sports Complex as a dog park.

Now that the St. Joseph-Ogden and St. Joseph Middle School Cross Country teams are using the complex for meets, spectators have been stepping in dog poop.

“Dog owners need to make sure to pick up after their animals or find somewhere else to let their animals run,” Hendrickson said. ‘It’s unfortunate that we have to remind people of this.”
