The Wheelhouse

The Wheelhouse is helping St. Joseph bike riders celebrate bike to work day. The restaurant will have coffee, breakfast food and water for cyclist.

Nature Play Pre-K: Paws, Claws, Wings and Things
10 a.m.
Homer Lake Natural Playscape

This program is for preschoolers ages 3-6 to learn as we play in nature! Today, we will learn about the special adaptations that animals have to help them survive in the wild. This is a chance for parents/grandparents to actively engage with children as they experience the natural world. Dress for the weather, as we will be outdoors for the entire program. FREE. Fithian United Methodist Church 101 W. Clinton Street

The Fithian Women’s Club is holding a bake sale and lunch during the Fithian town-wide garage sales. The proceeds go to the Club’s scholarship fund and other projects.

Champaign Urbana Ballet presents Swan Lake. “Swan Lake” is a timeless love story that mixes magic, tragedy, and romance into four acts. It features Prince Siegfried and a lovely swan princess named Odette. Under the spell of a sorcerer, Odette spends her days as a swan swimming on a lake of tears and her nights in her beautiful human form.

Japan House located at 2000 S Lincoln Ave, Urbana, IL

This is a free event –ticket purchase required for participation in the tea ceremony. Japan House Days allows guests to view tea equipment, kimono, armor, calligraphy works and more in a gallery-like setting.
Japan House will be decorated with colorful Children’s Day collections.

No reservations required, books will be available for purchase
2 p.m. Japanese Tea Ceremony
Reservations are required and tickets cost $10 or $12.

Free activities such as origami, koinobori crafting, daruma coloring and more

Free Story and Presentation by Rob Chappell, Assistant to the Honors Dean, College of ACES – “Prince Gilgamesh in the Land of the Rising Sun”
