No one but me is here. So hopefully this will be quick. So I can go freeze at home.
Shout out to public works for doing a great job with clearing our roads.
Two event permits: Trooper Thompsen 5K in June and the Cross Processional in April.
Animal control update is tabled until next meeting. Page is saying they got some info today that the board needs to have but it hasn’t been shared yet because he doesn’t have all the info.
So the only agenda item is storm water planning.
Storm water master plan was done in 2004, updated in 2014. Transportation master plan done in 2017. Page saying the previous plan was to save up money to get this done. Inflation eats you alive while you are doing that. “I would like to entertain the idea that if we have $250,000 to do one piece of it, so we are always doing something.”
Page saying that the last three years we have had kind of a drought which has kept the area from flooding. Saying he has seen floods where the wetlands were up to the top of Rt. 150.
The plan original plan focused on retention efforts for the water to make its way to the Salt Fork, the new plan focuses on getting the water to the Salt Fork faster.
You can read this document to get all the details.
They are talking about the Huls ground and how two developers have looked at it and can’t afford to develop it because of the infrastructure needed. (drainage)
I am going to have to break this down. That’s a tomorrow project.
Terri I think we need to rethink and retool. Terri saying the previous decision was the right one but things have changed. “We need to think outside of the box on things.”
Joe wants direction.
Jim talking about how the General Corp plan has been supplementing other funds like parks, storm water, ect.
Joe wants additional direction for the budget, ect. They did a straw poll.
There’s nothing else on the agenda.
Discussing the process they use for forming a budget, ect.
Meeting adjourned. I will go through the exhibit tomorrow and write it up more.
Stay warm!
