10 things you don’t know about me… Tracie Trotter


We asked the owner of Wyldewood Cellars to tell us 10 things about herself. Here are her responses.

1. What is a tv or movie you could watch over and over and why?
Princess Bride- It’s nostalgic and timeless. Such a great movie!


2. What is the best advice you have been given?

Don’t sweat the small stuff and Everything happens for a reason.

3. How do you unwind?

A glass of wine and comfy clothes.

4. What is something you always carry with you?

Chapstick and hand lotion.


5. Where is your favorite place to travel to and why?

I don’t just have one place. I love to travel and experience the beauty and the history of wherever I am. I have traveled to many places all over the world but I want to travel to many more.

6. What is/was your favorite thing about your job and why?

I own Wyldewood Cellars Illinois here in St Joe. I love what I do. I get to work with my family everyday. I enjoy finding the right wine for a customer and I never get tired of hearing how much people love our wine.

7. What is your go-to snack?
My go to snack is Ritz Mini Peanut Butter crackers.


8. What is your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is when my Dad would take my siblings and I trick or treating then we would come home to my Mom baking Pumpkin seeds.


9. What is something that would surprise people about you?

When I was 22 I auditioned for American Idol. I didn’t make it but it was an experience.

10. What is your favorite sports team?

Football and Basketball Fighting Illini Baseball- Cardinals
