March 24, 2026 Local Stories in and Around St. Joseph, Illinois

Live at St. Joseph-Ogden School Board, June 26, 2023

I am half an hour late. #matthadradio.

Sam Furrer is here to discuss the parking lot. He lives across the road and is discussing the construction. He wants a fence or trees or something to block the view of the parking lot. He says the current landscaping is not maintained and having a horticulture class do it is not appropriate. “Please be a better neighbor and do what you can to address concerns. This is what we look at from our front porches.”

Another neighbor is discussing how the noise now travels now that the houses are all gone from that side of the road. She is also addressing the traffic on game days, ect.

Brooks saying the school does want to have a barrier that looks good and provides a barrier.

FACILITIES UPDATE TIME!

“We are on schedule,” Brooks said. “Everything looks good inside right now as far as being on target.”

“The athletic facilities are on pace. A couple things got bumped up on a revised schedule as of this morning.”
