Local Fourth of July events

HOMER
Homer is having a freedom and music festival over two days. On July 3 from 6 to 11 p.m. there will be food trucks, beer tent and live music at Homer Village Hall. The winners of the patriotic house decorating contest will also be announced on Sunday. On July 4 events will start at 7:30 a.m. at village hall with a pancake breakfast sponsored by the Homer American Legion Auxillary.
The Fourth of July Parade will take place at 10 a.m. with live music starting at 11 a.m. and going until 7 p.m.
Food trucks, ice cream, a beer tent, vendors and inflatables will also be available during the event.
There will also be a bubble show, face painting, family games and activities scheduled all day.
A car show starts at 11:30 a.m. and professional wresting will take place 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

ST. JOSEPH
Boy Scout Troop 40, will be hosting an Independence Day parade on July 4, starting at 10 a.m. The parade will start at the Middle School, take Peters to Evergreen and continue up Main Street,to Grand and continue all of the way down to the Sports Complex.
