Wentzloff brings Lurch to life in Addams Family

Lili Wentzloff knows how to portray a character with few words.

She is portraying Lurch, the butler of the creepy and kooky Addams Family today at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph-Ogden High School.

“I would describe my character as just the weird guy that is always there and hears everything but says nothing,” she said.

Wentzloff had watched the Addams Family films so she was familiar with her character before the production. Despite being familiar with the characters the music was still challenging.

“The most challenging part was definitely getting confident about my song,” she said. “My favorite part of the show would have to be right at the beginning of the musical and it is the song called ‘When you’re an Addams.’”

Wentzloff said she hopes everyone takes the opportunity to watch the final performance today.

“The musical is amazing and so funny and I hope everyone can comes because you will not regret it,” she said.
