SJO girls’ tennis picks up second win

The St. Joseph-Ogden High School girls’ tennis team will aim for its third straight win when the Spartans play at Urbana at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Their latest triumph happened last Wednesday with a 6-3 road win against St. Teresa. SJO won four of six singles matches, with Abbey Dow, Hope Rajlich, Kelsey Martlage and Ashlyn Lannert each producing a victory.

The doubles’ teams of Angie Chahine and Katie McDermott and Allison Kearney and Jacey Lewis also picked up victories.

After Tuesday’s match at Urbana, SJO is slated to play at Watseka at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
