Chamber to sponsor Little Prince and Princess

The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual Little Prince and Princess contest in conjunction with the annual St. Joseph Community Festival.

The coronation will take place on August 13 at the Sports Complex.

Children who have completed Kindergarten or first grade at St. Joseph Grade School and are entering the first or second grade are eligible for the contest. This change is for this year only due to the pandemic canceling the contest last year.

Voting will take place online.

Those voting should include a note who their donation is for.

You can also vote in person at the St. Joseph Dairy Queen, Longview Bank in St. Joseph and the St. Joseph IGA. If other businesses would like to sponsor cups they can email stjosephrecord@gmail.com.

Voting will take place Aug. 2 to Aug. 11.

The children with the most donations will be named Prince and Princess and be given the chance to ride in the St. Joseph Community Parade and given a crown and sash.

Those wanting to enter should email a photo of their child, the child’s age and name, parents name, and phone number to Stjosephrecord@gmail.com

The Chamber will accept the first 12 boys and first 12 girls to sign up.
