Upcoming Christmas Events

Dec. 5
The St. Joseph Women’s Club is holding its annual Bedtime Stories with Santa event on Dec. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Church of Christ.
This event is for fourth grade and younger. Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas and will meet Santa, read stories, do crafts and have a cookies and milk snack. This event is free of charge but donations for the St. Joseph Community Food Pantry will be accepted. This is not a drop off event.

Dec. 7
On December 7 Santa will be making multiple stops in the area.
He will start his day in Ogden at the Ogden Rose Library at 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
The library will have Christmas readings, crafts and a free ornament for all children.
Since he is magic, he will be in Homer on Dec. 7 at Heritage Elementary School from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be vendors for the adults to shop and a cookie walk.
Santa will then travel to Oakwood from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. where he will team up with Mrs. Claus to visit the children. There will be games, crafts and games.
Santa will round out his day at the Broadland’s Fire Department annual Holiday Supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Santa will arrive at 5:30 p.m. and supper will include chilli, soup, hot dogs, sandwiches, dessert and beverages. The event is free and open to the public but donations to the fire department are welcome.

Dec. 8
The Village of Royal will host its second Gingerbread House Party on Dec. 8 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Royal Community Building. A complimentary lunch will be served at 1 p.m. , a hot chocolate bar, and complimentary pictures will be taken. Guests can also make their own graham cracker gingerbread houses for prizes. Admission is one box of graham crackers for every two people decorating a house.
