Homecoming court senior spotlight… Ross Booker

On Saturday, Ross Booker could be named Homecoming King.

Booker is one of two candidates for king.

“I think it’s pretty cool to be on homecoming court,” he said. “I was really surprised to make it.”

Booker said it was an honor that people nominated and voted for him.

The St. Joseph-Ogden senior said his favorite part of homecoming is going to a nice dinner and then to the dance. He has good memories from his junior homecoming.

“I went to homecoming with a girl who I was really nervous to go with,” he said. “But after homecoming we started dating on October 9. As of October 9 it will be our one year anniversary.”

Booker said his girlfriend, Eliza Lewis, is a blessing.

“And an amazing girl along with a fun and loving family,” he said.

Booker said he has enjoyed his senior year so far and has especially enjoyed playing football.

“It’s such a great sport and some thing many people should try,” he said. “I never thought I would play but tried out and it’s so much fun.”
