January 8, 2026 Local Stories in and Around St. Joseph, Illinois

Kids say…

Every week we ask students at local schools three questions related to farming. This week we spoke to students at PVO South in Ogden.

Would you like to be a farmer?
Ericka: Yes, I would like to be a farmer because I can take care of animals and do a lot of hard work.

Grace: I would be a farmer because I like to take care of animals.

Kellyn:I would not like to be a farmer because it is hard work.

Leigha: I would like to be a farmer because I like to help things grow.

Wyatt: Yes, I would like to be a farmer because I would get to grow animals and grow my own plants.
