10 things you don’t know about me… Pastor Kim Dancey from Homer UMC

  1. I am a friend and follower of Jesus and live in the wonder of his grace.
  2. I’ve been married to Rick for 43 years.
  3. I am mom to two adult kids, Robin who is married to Dillon and living in Decatur; and Drew who lives in Florida.
  4. I am “Nana” to 15 month old Gabriel who is the cutest kid ever!
  5. I am an Ordained Elder in The United Methodist Church, retired after 18 years of ministry, and currently very excited to serve as interim pastor here at Homer United Methodist Church.
  6. I love to garden.
  7. I love to read.
  8. I love to quilt and do other crafts. (I hope to take a painting class if I ever really retire.)
  9. I grew up near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and have lived in Michigan, Iowa, and various spots in Illinois.
  10. I previously served as pastor at the Fithian, Oakwood, and Newtown UM Churches for seven years (from 2008-2015).
