Weekend Family Fun Guide

This post is sponsored by Island Travel Group and Events

On Saturday, St. Joseph plays host to hundreds of runners and walkers in the annual SJO 5K. Packet pick-up and registration takes place tonight at the St. Joseph United Methodist Church from 5 to 8 p.m.

Registration will also take place the day of the event from 5:45 a.m. until 7 a.m.

The race starts at 7:30 a.m. with the kids fun run after race.

The 5K, now in its 12th year, is a fundraiser for the St. Joseph Middle School and St. Joseph-Ogden High School cross country and track teams.

Event proceeds help pay for uniforms, warm-ups, travel and other costs during the season.

The top three runners in each age group will receive medals and the top 200 finishers will receive a water bottle.
