10 things you don’t know about me…. Katie May

Every week we ask a local resident to tell us 10 facts about themselves. This week we spoke to St. Joseph Grade School nurse and PTC board member Katie May.

This post is sponsored by the St. Joseph Dairy Queen.

I grew up in St. Joe and have lived here all my life (with the exception of moving away for 4 years of college).

My husband Justin and I have been married for almost 12 years.

I have 2 boys—Landon who is 9 and Maddox who is 5.

I love sports. I played college softball, and I am a huge Cubs fan.

Before becoming the school nurse in St. Joe school district I worked in labor and delivery for 4 years, pediatrics for 4 years, and in an allergy department for 2 years.

I always said I would never have cats but in December we got two cats—Rizzo and Oreo and they are so spoiled and loved!

My favorite food is pizza.

I am a member of the PTC board at the school and am also on the St. Joseph Little League Baseball board.

I don’t enjoy cooking OR grocery shopping!

My favorite summer activity is swimming with my boys!
