Softball Youth Camp
June 6, 7

9 -11:30 AM and NOON-1:30 PM
SJO Softball Coach, Larry Sparks along with coaches and current and former players, will have a fast pitch softball pitching and fundamentals camp this summer. The camp will offer two sessions. This is for girls 2nd grade through 8th grade. We will group participants within their age group. We will furnish the balls for pitching and hitting equipment for fundamentals. Girls should bring their glove and bat (if they have one) with their name on it.

Session 1 – Fundamentals in fast pitch softball. Session will run for two days and we will be teaching the correct way to: 1) throw the ball; 2) slide; 3) bunt; 4) field; 5) run the bases; and 6) hit. Fundamentals will be inside and outside (in case of rain we are prepared to do everything inside), so they must also have gym shoes.

Session 2 – Pitching (Beginner & Intermediate) pitchers that need the drills, fundamentals and repetition to get off to the correct start. Many times these pitchers need the beginning drills for a few sessions before they are ready to move on. The pitching will be indoors so the girls should bring gym shoes. For more information email vsparks24@hotmail.com
