A Free Movie will be shown at the Savoy 16 starting at 10 a.m. The movie is free if you are a rewards member. $1 for everyone else. This week at 10 a.m. the theater is showing Sherlock Gnomes.

Beckman Institute Open House 2019
Starting at 9 a.m.

The Beckman Institute Open House is a biennial event, held in conjunction with the University of Illinois College of Engineering Open House. The open house exhibits highlight the work taking place at one of the nation’s leading centers for interdisciplinary research. Schools, clubs, and other large groups are welcome.

Movie Night and Book Fair

PVO South

Join the PVO family for a PTO sponsored movie night! Pizza, cotton candy, popcorn, and candy galore! Concessions will be available for purchase. This will also conclude the week long Scholastic Book Fair. Doors open at 6 and the movie begins at 6:30. Make sure to bring a blanket, lawn chair, or bean bag chair.

Big Grove Storytelling Festival
1 p.m.
Anita Purves Nature Center

Gather your family and friends for an afternoon of imagination at the nature center as they host the Big grove Storytelling Festival! Brought together by popular demand are four tellers who have entertained many nature center audiences over the years: Kath Brinkmann, Dan Keding, Kim Petzing Lehman, and Kim Sheahan. The fun will include crafts and contests. Concessions will be available, along with a booth where the tellers will sell their merchandise.
